Getting started
- Is Cubby free?
- Yes. Logging, caregiver sharing, your country's vaccine schedule, growth charts, the health hub and keepsakes are free, and always will be. Cubby Pro (launching August 2026) adds extras like the full keepsake studio, watermark-free shares and doctor PDF reports. We never paywall logging or sharing.
- How do I sign up?
- Open the app and continue with Google, or ask for an email sign-in link: we send a link, you tap it, you're in. About ten seconds either way, no password, no app store.
- Is Cubby an app I download?
- It runs in any modern browser. On a phone, install it like an app in two taps so it opens full-screen from its own icon (see the next answer).
- How do I install it on my iPhone or Android?
- iPhone: open little-cubby.com/app in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen", then "Add". Android: open it in Chrome, tap the menu (three dots), then "Add to Home screen" or "Install app". The bear icon appears on your home screen and Cubby opens like a normal app.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Log while offline and it syncs automatically once you're back online.
- Which devices work?
- Any modern phone, tablet or computer browser. Your log syncs across all of them.
Logging & features
- What can I track?
- Feeds (breast, bottle, solids), sleep with an ongoing-nap timer, nappies, pumping, activities, medicines, temperature, illnesses, growth, vaccines, milestones and photos.
- Can I log activities like tummy time, sun time or skin-to-skin?
- Yes. Tag and time the good-for-baby moments, walks, tummy time, sun time, skin-to-skin and more, and add a photo to any of them.
- Can I backdate or edit an entry?
- Yes. Anything can be logged for an earlier time and edited or removed afterwards.
- Can I track twins or more than one baby?
- Yes. Add as many babies as you like, switch between them, or log for more than one at once.
- Are there growth charts?
- Yes. Plot weight and height on WHO and CDC percentile curves and watch the trend over time.
Sharing & caregivers
- Can both parents and a nanny use the same baby?
- Yes. Everything syncs in real time across every caregiver, with who-did-what on each entry and a shared handoff note.
- How do I invite someone?
- In the app, Settings > Family & sharing, invite by email and pick their relationship (mother, father, grandparent, nanny, and so on).
- Can I see who logged what?
- Yes. Every entry shows who added it, so you always know whether it was you, your partner or the nanny.
- Can I remove a caregiver?
- Yes, any time, from Settings > Family & sharing.
- Who can see my baby's data?
- Only the people you invite. Your log is locked to your family, nobody else can see it.
Health & vaccines
- Can I edit the vaccine schedule or change country?
- Yes. Every item is editable to match your clinic, and switching country keeps the doses you've already logged.
- Does Cubby remind me about vaccines and medicine?
- Yes, with gentle in-app reminders and due dates. Push notifications when the app is closed are coming with Pro.
- Can I track medicines and doses?
- Yes. Set an every-few-hours or daily schedule and Cubby counts down to the next dose, so "did we already give it?" never happens.
- Does Cubby replace my doctor?
- No. It's informational and helps you keep track. Always follow your doctor, midwife or health visitor.
- Will Cubby track pregnancy?
- Yes, a week-by-week pregnancy tracker (development, appointments, symptoms and danger-sign guidance) is on the way, so Cubby covers day zero through the first year and beyond.
Photos & keepsakes
- What keepsakes can I make?
- Turn any photo into an Instagram-ready card (square, portrait or story), plus monthly memory cards, milestones and a birth poster.
- Do the photo tools send my pictures anywhere?
- No. Auto-enhance and background cutout run entirely on your device, nothing is uploaded for those.
- Where are my photos stored?
- Privately, in Cubby's own secure backend, visible only to your family.
Privacy, data & account
- Is my data private and secure?
- Yes. No ads, no third-party trackers, never sold. Your log is locked to the people you invite, enforced by server-side security rules, and your data is encrypted in transit and at rest (it lives in Google Cloud Firestore). The site also ships strict browser security headers (HSTS, content-security policy, no framing). You can export or delete everything yourself in Settings, anytime.
- Can I export my data?
- Yes. Settings > Data > Export downloads everything as a JSON file.
- Can I delete everything?
- Yes. Settings > Data > Delete all data permanently erases your household's logs. Consider exporting first.
- How do I log out?
- Settings > Log out (also on your profile). Your data stays safely synced, just sign back in with Google.
Pricing
- What's free versus Pro?
- All the essentials are free forever: logging, sharing, vaccine schedule, growth, health hub and keepsakes. Pro adds routines, push reminders, premium keepsakes, HD backup, PDF reports and insights. See the pricing page.
- What will Pro cost?
- Cubby Pro is $9/month, or $90/year (save 17%, about $7.50/month), with a 7-day free trial and localized pricing. The free plan stays free forever. See the pricing page.
- Will you ever charge for logging or sharing?
- No. The core, logging and caregiver sharing, stays free.
